Early Lead for Arizona Western Seals Fate for the Pumas

 

The Pumas watched the game slip away early and could not recover in an 11-0 loss in six innings to AWC on Tuesday. 

 

The Pumas struggled to put runs on the board and had a tough time defensively containing the Matadors, giving up 11 runs.

One bright spot for the Pumas was a single by Maegan Ford in the fifth inning.

Jordyn Cromer led things off in the circle for the Pumas. The right-hander surrendered 11 runs on 19 hits over six innings, striking out one.

Ford and Maegan Viramontes each collected one hit to lead PV.

 

Arizona Western Runs Away with Early Lead in Victory

The Pumas lost game two to AWC 12-1 in five innings on Tuesday. The Matadors took the lead on a single in the first inning.

The Pumas struggled to put runs on the board and had a tough time defensively containing the Matadors, giving up 12 runs.

Jazlyn Romero was in the pitcher's circle for the Pumas. The pitcher lasted five innings, allowing 16 hits and 12 runs while striking out one.

Romero and Maegan Viramontes each collected one hit to lead the Pumas.
