As Puma Track & Field prepares for the 2026 indoor and outdoor seasons, they do so with Quinten Bankston stepping into the Interim Head Coach role. Bankston has been on the Puma coaching staff since the 2023 season as the hurdles and multis coach. Prior to joining the PVCC coaching staff, Bankston was an assistant coach at Liberty High School, coaching the sprints and hurdles (2020-2022).
Bankston is a former Puma student-athlete with the Track & Field program (2016-2017). While with the Pumas, Bankston was an NJCAA national qualifier in the 400m hurdles (2017) as well as the 4x400m relay (2016 & 2017).
After graduating from PVCC with his Associates in Arts, Bankston transferred to Arizona State University where he competed with Sun Devil Track & Field for two seasons (2018-2019). Bankston graduated from ASU in December 2020 with a Bachelor of Economics.
The Pumas open up the season next Friday, January 16 when they travel to Pima Community College for the Jim Mielke Multis/Al Shirley Memorial Invitational.
